Born in the East End of London, and the son of a taxi driver, McQueen
had the intentions on becoming a fashion designer at a young age.
Between the years of 1996 and 2003, Alexander McQueen became one the
youngest designers to receive the title "British Designer of the Year"
which he won four times. In 2000 a new partnership was created between
McQueen and Gucci, with McQueen serving as the Creative Director.
McQueen had boutiques in Los Angeles, Milan, Vegas, and New York by the
end of 2007.
